Before You Start

Make sure you have these ready:

  • MT4 desktop installed
  • Your MT4 account ID
  • Your broker name
  • Stable internet connection
  • The downloaded EliteWealth Algo file (.ex4)

⚡ What Is an MT4 EA — and Why Is a License Key Required?

An MT4 EA is software that runs inside MetaTrader 4 and executes trades automatically based on predefined rules.

EliteWealth Algo is license-protected. That means the file gives you access to the software, but the license key verifies and activates it on your MT4 account.

This protects the system, controls access, and ensures activation is issued only to approved users.

Quick Setup Overview

Step 1: Copy the EA file to the MT4 folder

Step 2: Enable auto trading and allow DLL imports

Step 3: Drag and drop the EA onto a chart

Step 4: Add the Google link, enter the license key, and activate

Step 1 — Copy the EA File to the MT4 Folder

MT4 can only recognize the EA after the file is placed inside the correct Experts folder.

  • Locate the downloaded .ex4 file on your computer.
  • Open MT4 and click File → Open Data Folder.
  • Open MQL4 → Experts.
  • Paste the EA file into the Experts folder.
  • Restart MT4 so the platform can load the new file.

Step 2 — Enable Auto Trading and Allow DLL Imports

These permissions allow the EA to operate correctly and communicate with the activation source.

  • In MT4, click Tools → Options.
  • Open the Expert Advisors tab.
  • Check Enable Expert Advisors.
  • Check Allow DLL imports.
  • Click OK to save changes.

Step 3 — Drag and Drop the EA onto a Chart

This attaches the system to your preferred chart so setup and activation can be completed.

  • Open the Navigator panel in MT4.
  • Expand Expert Advisors.
  • Drag the EA onto your preferred currency pair and timeframe chart.
  • When the settings window appears, open the Common tab.
  • Check Allow live trading.

Step 4 — Add the Google Link, Enter the License Key, and Activate

This is a one-time setup that allows MT4 to access the license information from the activation source.

Add Google Link to MT4

  • Open MT4 and go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors.
  • Check Allow WebRequest for listed URL.
  • Click Add and enter this URL:
https://script.google.com/

Enter the License Key

  • Open the EA settings window and go to the Inputs tab.
  • Find the license field, usually labeled LicenseKey or LicenseCode.
  • Paste the license key you received from the provider.
  • Click OK to confirm and activate.
  • If activation is successful, you should see a smiley face on the chart.

If you see a sad face, cross, or error, your activation is incomplete or a setting is missing. Contact support below.

Ready for Activation?

Once the file is installed, send the following so your activation can be processed:

  • Full name
  • MT4 account ID
  • Broker name

After verification and payment, your license key will be issued and final activation instructions will be sent.
